Welcome to Thoughts on Books.
I bet you’re asking, “Whose thoughts are these anyway?”
Hey y’all! I’m Theresa and this is my blog.
This is the blog (and thoughts) of an avid reader with a lifelong love of books. If you’re looking for the average person’s view on a book, then you’re in the right corner of the ‘net. I started this blog to help YOU (and I) find the next great read.
I read for pleasure, I read to learn, I read because I can’t not read, and I love to share about the books I read. If you’ve got any suggestions for me, I’d love to hear about them.
I love to support authors through reviews, tours, interviews and giveaways. If you’re an author and want to collaborate, contact me. These are the kind of posts you can expect here.
If you’d like to see something, that I’m not posting about, by all means, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.
I’m passionate about reading, but it’s not my only interest. I love writing, journaling, art, productivity (my current obsession: Habit Formation), cool apps & tools, the BBC (OOH! BBC how I love thee! Doctor Who anyone? Or how about Sherlock?) and Joss Whedon’s work (Hello! Firefly, Buffy and Angel), so you might see some posts about these subjects from time to time.
I’m a wife, mom to 6 humans and 1 dog, 1 cat, MIL to 2, and Grammy to the 3 cutest grandkids in the world! I work full-time outside the home, as a Card Scan Technician, doing data entry and other cool things, I’m also an independent consultant for Appen part-time, and I’m starting my own service business (Need someone to manage your blog, social media or email? Let’s talk).
I’m a recent empty-nester, getting to know my hubby in a completely different way. This is the first time in our 17 year marriage that we’ve lived alone, just him and I.
We both had children when we married, so it’s like we’ve done the whole relationship thing backwards. Usually you have time to learn each other before the added responsibilities, stresses and joys of parenting come into play. Not us!
Every day’s a new adventure in getting to know this familiar stranger that I’m married to.
I’d love to connect and get to know you better, fellow reader. So be sure to leave a few comments here and there on the blog, say hi to me over on Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest or Instagram.
Do you want to be updated when I publish a new post? Subscribe via RSS in a reader or by email.
Information overload? Consider subscribing to my weekly update email, where I’ll tell you all about what I’ve posted in the last week, and I’ll share a few of the coolest things I’ve found online.
I can’t wait to get to know y’all! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come visit and chat anytime.
