I have spent the last year working on changing my lifestyle. I have slowly added more and more healthy food options to my menu and dropped most of the unhealthy ones. I’ve also slowly added more and more time to my fitness routine, combining yoga, walking and meditation to become healthier. In a little under a year, I was able to lose 35 lbs.
As a reward for sticking to my healthier lifestyle and losing the weight, I bought myself a Fitbit Alta. (It also helps that my company has a wellness program that will reimburse me for this purchase at the end of the year – score!). So I was really excited to receive it. But, once I got it, I couldn’t push the button through the hole on the band in order to clasp the band onto my wrist. I actually had to get my son to help me do this.
So, while it was nice to have his help, I really needed a band that I could clasp and unclasp myself, so I went on a mission to find a better replacement band for myself. I couldn’t believe the options available out there and honestly wanted them all! I’m not rich so I decided to get one for everyday use and one for more fancier dressy use. That’s where this band comes in.
It is so pretty and makes the Fitbit Alta look like a piece of jewelry. One that I am proud to wear when I dress nice for dates, or parties. I can still record all my movements, walking, dancing, etc. and look good doing it. And it is quite easy to change the bands out on this tracker.
This metallic tracker band has a strong magnetic clasp closure which makes it a breeze to put on and take off. I also like that this makes it extremely flexible in sizing as you can pull it as tight as you need to for a perfect fit. It is an extremely strong magnet and I don’t have any worries that it might fall off.
The only downfall I’ve noticed is that I can’t wear this band while using my laptop, as the magnet is so strong that it makes my computer shut down. And it can be irritating at times while I’m at work, because it wants to stick to all the metal filing cabinets I deal with. But other than those two minor issues, I am totally thrilled with this band.
