S.H.I.N.E. and Win!: 5 Keys to Conquer the Fear of Failure Blog Tour

I have had a lifelong fear of failure (and to some extent a fear of success), so was excited to be given the opportunity to read this book. It is a short read, it only took me about 15 minutes, but those 15 minutes were packed with lots of good stuff.

I was reminded that failure is part of the journey. We do, we fail, we learn from that failure, we pick ourselves up and move on. Growing with each failure. It’s a matter of mindset. If we look at our failures as preparation for the next journey, failure begins to look more like a ladder. With each failure being another rung on that ladder.

S.H.I.N.E. is an acronym that helps you get moving, and keep moving, even if you are afraid of failing.

S: Show up
H: Honestly
I: Intentionally
N: No
E: Excuses

So, if you want to transition out of your mediocre life and begin living your dream, just remember to S.H.I.N.E.: Show up Honestly Intentionally No Excuses.

My favorite quote from this book:

There’s a better way to look at fear: embrace it and use it to your advantage instead of your disadvantage.
